Pemulwuy- Student Accommodation

The Pemulwuy Project is a 22-storey student accommodation building in the heart of the City of Sydney and part of a redevelopment of the land known as “the Block”. BPG were engaged to supply and install all internal plasterboard, insulation, skirtings, Hebel wall and install prefabricated bathroom pods.

Located in an inner-city location, adjacent to a one-way road with high traffic volumes; site storage and logistics were challenging. The team used electric pallet jacks to reduce unloading times and innovated to safely store materials in a small area without disrupting site access and construction activities.

Some of our team were new to commercial projects so we allocated resources to upskill workers and managed stringent quality control processes to complete the work meeting commercial standards.

Work was completing successfully and safely, on time and compliant with commercial building standards.
